Dr. Bridgid Joseph, DNP, RN, CCNS has been a nurse for over 20 years with a background in Med-Surg (Solid organ transplant), Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (Emergency/Code Team Response.)

Her focus for the last 13 years has been in Quality Improvement, Staff Education, and Patient Safety as the Director for the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Center.

Dr. Joseph is a Resuscitation Specialist with a vast knowledge related to cardiac and respiratory arrest, pre-arrest states and treatment plans, patient monitoring and surveillance, medical device use for support, best practices, current research, and the Regulatory requirements surrounding it all.

  • Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Critical Care for over 15 years, and completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

  • Presents nationally at various conferences on her formalized in situ mock code program implementations, along with being a change agent to drive innovations in healthcare, and new innovations and techniques to support staff and patient care during cardiac arrest

  • Specializes in Inter Professional Education, focusing on improving communication, through training with various disciplines together, to improve staff satisfaction and collegiality to support optimal patient care.

  • Works on clinical research both here in the US, focusing on handheld electronic documentation during cardiac and respiratory arrest events, mechanical CPR implementation, amongst other topics, and at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK related to blood transfusions and usage within the NHS.
